Pharmacology department is located at 1st
floor of basic sciences block. It is equipped with state of the art laboratory
and a museum. The laboratory has top notch facilities to affirm the factual
aspects of theoretical knowledge of pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamic & pharmacy.
The museum has well displayed samples of pharmaceutical & pharmacognosy
preparations and dosage forms. There is provision of an AV equipped tutorial
room for the conduction of tutorials and short group discussions. Homework to
start postgraduate training /classes has been almost completed and there are
ongoing research projects in the department. The department is committed to
provide equitable access to an integrated system of basic and clinical
education in order to produce valuable medical professionals empowered with the
knowledge of essential pharmacology dedicated to serving ailing humanity.
To provide quality
para-clinical and clinical education in Pharmacology and Therapeutics for
undergraduate Medical / Dental/ Rehab/Nursing and Paramedical students to
enable them to serve our indigenous patients as well as to enable them to excel
abroad. In addition, to encourage post graduate programs to carryout research
of recognized excellence and at the same instance to inculcate the qualities of
effective teachers, researchers and managers in diverse fields of basic and
clinical pharmacology and therapeutics.
