Enhancing Clinical Understanding of Diabetes in Pregnancy

The Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, HITEC- IMS, organized an educational seminar focused on enhancing clinical understanding of diabetes in pregnancy, addressing both global and local perspectives. The session began with the recitation of Holy Quran, followed by Introductory remarks by the organizers. Dr. Nauman Khurshid Associate Professor OBGYN, University of Toledo College of Medicine, delivered an in depth key note lecture explaining diagnostic criteria, management strategies, international guidelines, and best practices for optimizing maternal & fetal outcomes. The session emphasized clinical decision making, patient counselling and the importance of multidisciplinary care. A case-based discussion allowed participants to apply concepts to real world scenarios. This was followed by an interactive Q&A facilitated by Dr. Nauman Khurshid and Dr. Fehmida Shaheen Head of Department Gynecology and Obstetrics HITEC-IMS. The seminar Concluded with a summary of important points, evaluation of participants & their feedback.
