HIPPA Compliance and Sigma Levels

The Department of Medical Education, HITEC Institute of Medical Sciences, organized an informative session on “Healthcare Quality: From Compliance to Excellence” on 7 October 2026. The session was conducted by Waqar Raza Naqvi, Chief Quality Officer, Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP), and focused on the core principles of healthcare quality, accreditation standards such as ISO and JCI, Lean Six Sigma tools for process improvement, and HIPAA requirements for patient privacy and data security.

Nominees from various departments took part in the session, which concluded with a lively question-and-answer segment. Principal Maj Gen Hafeez ud Din, HI(M), also attended and emphasized the importance of putting these quality practices into action. He encouraged the faculty to continually strive for excellence in their work.
