Internal Assessment Preparation Workshop

Introduction

A workshop on Internal assessment workshop was organized by HR department HITEC Institute of Medical Sciences, on 20th November 2025 to strengthen faculty and staff in calculating internal assessment procedures, ensure accuracy and compliance with NUMS standards. The event started with recitation of Holy Quran.

The objectives of workshop were:

  1. Comprehend Internal assessment breakdown and regulatory compliance
  2. Create and use standardized Excel template for assessment data compilation
  3. Enhance procedures for updating and verifying records
  4. Implement security of stored data and confidentiality protocols

Muhammad Naeem Sarfraz, Assistant controller examination NUMS gave a presentation explaining internal assessment regulation, Breakdown of assessment components and institutional responsibility for compliance.  Col.Dr. Asif Shahbab, Officer Incharge Examination HITEC-IMS, talked about, frequent error in internal assessment compilation, best practices for accurate data handling and strategies for minimizing discrepancies. Mr. Wajid Anwar, Assistant manager IT Conducted a hands-on workshop on Microsoft excel, use of data management tools, creating tables, charts and verifying assessment data. Mr. Nouman Bashir, Assistant controller Examination NUMS also gave hands on training on Microsoft excel, Practical aspects of data entry compilation, common mistakes and remedies to rectify them.
