Patient Safety Day Seminar

A seminar was arranged at HITEC-IMS on 20 th September to celebrate Patient Safety Day. The objective of the seminar was to raise awareness for active engagement of patients, their families and caregivers in all settings and at all levels of health care to improve patient safety. Even though we are in infancy, but the ongoing development of medical education has made it possible for us to advance in a way that meets the requirements of global awareness campaign. Representatives from Army Medical College, Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, Fazaia Medical College, Islamabad Medical Complex, Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology and Wah Medical college discussed various components of Patient Safety. The event was attended by the faculty and students of medical and dental schools, House officers, Paramedical staff, patients and their attendants. Poster exhibition was part of the event where house officers and students of final year presented their posters highlighting various aspects of patient safety.
