SPSS Workshop Equips Researchers with Practical Data Analysis Skills

The Research Cell and Department of Medical Education (DME), HITEC-IMS, in collaboration with Wah Medical College (WMC), organized a two-day workshop on “Data Analysis and Interpretation Using SPSS: Basics to Advanced Statistical Techniques” on 23rd–24th September 2025.

The sessions were conducted by Mr. Asad Ellahi (Research Officer, WMC) and Miss Waleeja-Tur-Rabbia (Statistical Officer, WMC), who delivered comprehensive training on both foundational and advanced statistical applications including data entry, descriptive statistics, regression, correlation, and advanced tests for variance and means. The sessions were interactive, allowing participants to practice real-time analysis using SPSS.

The workshop was attended by 23 participants from HITEC-IMS, NESCOM, and PMO, including postgraduate trainees and faculty members ranging from lecturers to professors. Accredited by the National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS) for CPD/CME points, the event concluded with certificates awarded to participants, and shields along with certificates presented to the facilitators in recognition of their contribution. Participants highly valued the engaging and practice-oriented learning experience.
