Dermatology

Introduction

The Department of Dermatology is a state-of-the-art department. In addition to teaching the undergraduate Medical students, the department is also designed to provide latest and modern treatment of skin diseases. The Department comprises a 20 bed ward with provision of ITC and an out-patient department. It is equipped with the latest and modern equipment including cryotherapy appliances, electrosurgery unit, cabinet type phototherapy unit and iontophoresis unit. There is a wide range of lasers available, including IPL with Radio Frequency, Q switched Laser and Erbium Glass laser. Dermatosurgery and Diagnostic Dermato-pathology services are also available. The subject is taught to medical students from third year to final year.
