Anesthesia

Introduction

The Department of Anesthesiology at HITEC-IMS Hospital comprises four anesthetists who are involved in clinical care, undergraduate teaching, research and administration in various areas of the hospital. The department enjoys the services of approximately thirty members of technicians trained in different categories. Perioperative care is provided to the patients that come through the operating rooms. The department includes five operation rooms, a 10- bedded Post Anesthetic Care Unit (PACU) and an excellent CSSD. The team also looks after a 10-bed surgical ICU providing ventilatory support, acute & chronic pain management as well as helps Trauma Center emergencies. The subject is taught from third to final year MBBS.
