The Student Research Society (SRS) at HITEC-IMS recently organised a research proposal writing competition, showcasing students’ talents across all years. Such events are crucial in fostering a research culture among students, encouraging them to explore innovative ideas and enhance their academic writing skills.

The competition began with the submission of 12 synopses. All students from 1^st to final year of MBBS vividly participated in the competition. These submissions were rigorously evaluated by external judges, ensuring a fair and unbiased scoring process.

The prize distribution ceremony was a grand affair. It was conducted on 7^th August 2024. The ceremony started with the recitation of the Qirat and Naat. The event was officially opened with a welcome speech by the in-charge of the research cell Dr Wajiha Mah jabeen, setting the stage for an inspiring day.

The President of the Student Research Society then took the podium to highlight the society’s achievements over the past year, celebrating the dedication and hard work of its members. This was followed by presentations from the top three winners, who shared their research ideas and methodologies with the audience.

The event’s highlight was the distribution of token money including 50 thousand, 30 thousand and 20 thousand rupees to 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd winners respectively along with the shields, and certificates, presented by the Principal of the HITEC-IMS.  The ceremony concluded with a thank-you speech by the Vice President of SRS, followed by speeches from the Principals of the Dental and Medical Colleges, who commended the efforts of the students and the SRS in promoting research at HITEC IMS.

All participants in the competition were awarded e-certificates to acknowledge their hard work and dedication to research.
