Workshop on Mentoring

A workshop on Mentoring was conducted by Prof. Shahid Rauf, Chairperson Mentoring Committee, and Prof Dr. Haroon Javed, HOD Ophthalmology, on 16^th February 2023 at 10:00 am in Lecture Hall 5. Chairperson discussed the basic theme of mentoring at HITEC-IMS and shared feedback on the mentoring program conducted in the previous year, 2022. Both speakers emphasized on the expected roles of a mentor for the program and invited feedback from the attendees. Afterward, a Role -play activity was carried out where all participants (listed below) were divided into three groups. Each group was given a scenario based on real situations and was asked to play the roles of a mentor and a mentee as portrayed in it. All participants engaged actively in the role play. The workshop concluded with comments by the Principal HITEC-IMS, Maj. Gen (Retd) Prof. Dr. Hamid Shafiq, HI (M), and a group photo of all the participants with the worthy principal and organizing team of the Department of Medical Education.
