Introduction

Department of Psychiatry is a cornerstone of our healthcare institution dedicated to providing comprehensive, evidence-based mental health care to patients across all age groups. Our multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists and psychiatric nurses  collaborate to deliver holistic and patient-centered care.Our department comprises of 10 bedded ward and an out-patient department. Counselling Services are critical component of our holistic approach to mental health care. These services are provided by our psychologists to address the emotional, psychological, and social needs of patients, complementing medical interventions and ensuring comprehensive mental health management.Our department also contributes to the academic  activities of medical students with dedication.

Objectives

  • Provide comprehensive, evidence-based psychiatric care to patients across all age groups.
  • Ensure early diagnosis, management, and prevention of psychiatric illnesses.
  • Offer holistic treatment through a multidisciplinary team approach, including pharmacological,psychological, and social  interventions.
