Introduction
The Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences aspires to provide culturally competent and holistic services with the objective of promoting mental health and preventing development of mental illnesses. Our faculty also aims at dispelling the myths associated with mental health care and in pursuit of our mission, we strive to support the cause of mental health for all. In doing so, we hope that our students will develop respect for the field of Psychiatry and psychiatric patients and overcome the usual taboo associated with mental illnesses so that Psychiatry can be confidently chosen as a career.
